  • Dyscalculia

Dyscalculia is a specific and persistent difficulty in understanding numbers, which can lead to a diverse range of difficulties with maths.

Some ways that you can support your child at home:

    • Playing mathematical games.
    • Resist using worksheets and use real-live objects to learn Maths.
    • Use music or songs to help learn number sequences.
    • Using objects and/or drawings and visuals to support maths homework.
    • Not currently formally diagnosed through the NHS in Kent. Can speak to the SENCo to discuss screeners that we have at school.
