Jubilee University is an opportunity for children to experience and learn things that we believe are integral to being ‘Equipped for Life’ but are not normally covered in the National Curriculum. Each activity is focussed on developing every child’s integrity, respect, manners, honesty, perseverance, compassion, co-operation, independence and doing things with excellence.
It is organised over 4 separate weeks of the year, usually during Terms 1, 2, 3 and 6.
In Term 4 the whole school had an Enterprise week where each class were given £50 in which to multiply. They then gave 10% of their profit away to a local charity and spent the rest on something for their classroom. The children worked brilliantly in teams and worked hard on persevering through obstacles along the way. They also worked with increasing independence in their classrooms.
