• Our pupas have hatched!

  Fri 27 May 2016 Spanish Bulls

  Just in time for the holidays, our 5 pupas hatched into beautiful butterflies! We were not expecting their wings to still be wet as though an artist had just finished painting them. We fed them some satsumas and then let them go.

  The caterpillars in English Lions have just been put in the butterfly net as chrysalis and are going to transform into butterflies any day soon! 

  

• It's a Knockout

  Our staff team had a great time on Saturday 14th May participating in the "It's a Knockout" competition to raise money for the Heart of Kent Hospice.   Despite an overcast and chilly day, we had plenty of support from our children and parents.  

   

  To date we have raised £249 for the hospice and hope to increase this amount when the final sponsorship money come in.  Donations can still be made online to https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Jubilee-Primary-School 

   

   

  

• Walk to School Week

  Monday 16th - Friday 20th May is "Walk to School" week.   We are encouraging all children and staff to walk either all or part of the way to school.

• Snails

  Fri 13 May 2016

  "Look I found a snail!"   Our Reception children have been learning about snails.  Did you know that snails have just one foot and four tentacles? We collected leaves and made homes for the snails that we found.

• It's a Knockout

  Don't forget to come and support us on Saturday 14th May and raise lots of money for the Heart of Kent Hospice.  A team of 10 staff are going to take part in the "It's a Knockout" event in Mote Park.  We will be there from 2.15pm, with the race starting at 3pm.

• Parent Afternoon Tea

  We had a lovely afternoon in the sunshine enjoying afternoon tea with our parents/carers (and a few grandparents).   Our Year 1 and 2 children escorted our guests to the playground and then served a delicious afternoon tea, complete with orange squash to wash it all down.  The food was freshly cooked by our children with a little help from school staff.   All children took part, we even had our own security patrol to ensure there were no squabbles over who had the last lemonade scone!
