Distinctive - Sports
As part of its vision to nurture creative talent within all pupils, Jubilee Primary School is committed to offering a broad range of learning opportunities within sport and the arts. Enrichment activities both enhance the existing curriculum, whilst promoting excellence within individual disciplines, such as art and sculpture, poetry, dance and music. The school believes that the arts provide space for personal growth, promote thinking skills and the expression of ideas from a variety of viewpoints, and provide therapeutic benefits that support emotional literacy and build the sense of awe and wonder for the world that they live in.
Our sports curriculum equips pupils for a healthy lifestyle by providing a wide assortment of sporting activities that offer universal appeal. Apart from developing pupils’ physical well-being, their emotional well-being is also enhanced by mastering new skills, learning to win and to lose with dignity. Through team-working skills pupils learn how to support others and how to accept support from teammates, building confidence, respect and resilience, as they strive to meet personal goals, overcome challenges and achieve their own personal best.

The after school clubs are run by staff and volunteers and the children have had the opportunity to work with a range of adults learning to respect and value them.
Sports Day
The summer sports day is a real highlight of our school calendar. Children have looked forward to it each year and thoroughly enjoyed taking part. They have learnt to work as a team and developed a good attitude towards winning and losing. The ability to encourage each other has grown tremendously through the various sporting activities.
