Earlier in November, a team of Chinese Pandas headed to Maplesden Noakes school for a basketball tournament.  For many of the players, it was their first time playing a match on a proper basketball court or bouncing a real basketball – so there was a lot of excitement. 

The first few matches were quite challenging for our team and although they played with a lot of heart, the other teams managed to score more baskets.  Despite those early set-backs, our team battled on courageously – and it wasn’t long before we started to score some points and... with great perseverance...we won a game!

The team played with a lot of passion and pride throughout – and are now looking forward to their next challenge on the basketball court.
